Personnel Solutions for Projects of All Sizes
Core Suriname Overview
Core Suriname is committed to empowering Suriname’s dynamic energy sector by addressing the growing need for skilled labor. As the country experiences rapid development in oil and gas, maritime, and construction industries, we stand ready to support this progress through workforce development and strategic partnerships.
Operating in full compliance with Surinamese law, Core Suriname is guided by Core Group Resources’ local content strategy—placing Suriname nationals at the forefront of recruitment and collaborating closely with local businesses. Our mission is to drive sustainable economic growth while delivering high-quality talent and services that advance the nation’s industrial future.
Core Suriname provides personnel to these industries through several contract models (direct hire, staffing, and contract labor). This includes craft labor (welders, fitters, general laborers), office and field-based project personnel (engineers, PMs, SMEs, administrative staff), multi-disciplined QA/QC inspectors (NACE, CWI, API), as well as HSE and company representatives.

Our Commitment to Local Content
Core Suriname is deeply committed to maximizing Surinamese participation in every aspect of our operations. Our local content strategy is designed to ensure that, wherever feasible, projects are staffed, managed, and executed by Surinamese professionals. To this end, all contracts are administered through our Suriname-registered office, reinforcing our commitment to compliance with national laws and our investment in the country’s economic future.
At the heart of our operating model is a strong emphasis on workforce development. We prioritize the recruitment and deployment of Surinamese personnel across all project phases. These individuals are not only placed in meaningful roles but are also provided with structured training under the guidance of Core Group Resources’ senior managers—recognized experts with global project experience. This hands-on mentorship fosters knowledge transfer, upskills the local workforce, and prepares trainees—including both new hires and current industry professionals—for elevated responsibilities. Upon completion, they return to the local labor market with enhanced capabilities, ready to contribute at a higher level.
This approach is reinforced by our leadership team’s deep expertise in training and capacity building. We have implemented a corporate training program through which engineers, managers, and inspectors have gained invaluable experience on international work sites before applying those skills back home. The result is a more capable, confident local workforce that not only strengthens our service offering but also drives national industrial progress.
Beyond talent development, Core Suriname actively supports the broader economic ecosystem by partnering with Suriname-based suppliers and service providers. We are helping to build a resilient local supply chain aligned with national development goals. Our entire operational framework—from staffing and training to procurement and project delivery—is rooted in a long-term vision to uplift Suriname’s workforce and ensure that the benefits of industrial growth are shared by the communities we serve.
Through strategic partnerships, investment in local talent, and unwavering compliance with Surinamese regulations, Core Suriname is helping shape a sustainable and prosperous future for the nation’s energy, maritime, and construction sectors.
